Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Chat Copier (“the Extension”, “we”) is a Chrome side-panel tool that lets you copy conversations from ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, optionally summarise them with Google Gemini, and paste them back into any active tab. We respect your privacy: the Extension runs entirely in your browser and never transmits personal or sensitive data to us or to third parties.

2. What information do we handle?

3. How do we use the information?

Provide the copy / summarise / paste features.
Persist your Gemini settings.
Remember which ChatGPT / Claude / Perplexity tab to target.

4. Sharing of information

We share no data with any server or third-party service. If you use the Gemini feature, your browser sends the conversation text to Google’s Gemini API over HTTPS; that request is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Security

All Gemini traffic uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
No remote code is executed; all injected scripts are bundled in the extension.
Data stored via chrome.storage.* is sandboxed by Chrome; sync data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

6. Your choices

Press Clear to remove copied text.
Edit or delete your Gemini key in the in-panel Settings drawer.
Disable or remove the Extension at any time via chrome://extensions.

7. Changes

We’ll update this page and the Chrome Web Store listing before any change that affects how data is handled.
